Festival Objective

North East is witnessing a lot of change in the past few years. With improved roads and infrastructure, law and order, we are seeing a big rise in the footfall of tourists in the last few years. North East is also on the bucket list of every traveler and tourist.

Our objective to organize this festival is to:

Welcome tourist through this tourism festival
Promote Eco-Tourism in North East India
Unlock High-Quality Tourism in the North East

About The Organizer

Chiko Adventure is a team based in Manipur promoting Eco-Tourism in the North East States and Manipur State in particular since 2016 by organizing various tourism festivals with various awards and recognition in the past for its contribution to promoting Eco-Tourism in the state. In association with the Manipur Tourism Department, we have organized events during Shirui Lily State Festival of Manipur from its inception in 2017 till 2022 which was held recently in the month of May.

Festival Venue

Ukhrul is the highest hill station in Manipur inhabited by the Tangkhul Naga Tribes. Tangkhuls are known for their hospitality, their vibrant and rich cultures and traditions. Ukhrul is the favorite destination for many tourists in Manipur offering many experiences and places to visit.

The festival will be held at Jorcheng Meadow, Lunghar Village, Ukhrul, Manipur, a 1-hour scenic and beautiful drive from the main Ukhrul Town. Jorcheng is located at the foothills of the famous Phangrei Peak.

Festival Dates

The North East Autumn Festival will be held from 20th – 26th October 2022.
October is a festive season in Ukhrul right after its agricultural harvest. It is the most pleasant season just before the winter chill. During October, the mountains and the hills are filled with varieties of flowers.

How to reach

By Air:
Imphal, the capital city of Manipur is the most well connected airport in the Northeast after Guwahati. Imphal Airport has 15+ direct flights
from most of the Major Cities of india.

By Rail:
The nearest railway station from Imphal is Dimapur and Guwahati Railway station which is 220 kms and 400 kms away respectively from Imphal.

By Road:
There are Buses and Taxis available troughout the day from Imphal to Ukhrul. 2 hrs 30 mins drive. 83 Kms.

Imphal: There are several Hotel ranging from budget to 4 star Hotels in Imphal.
Ukhrul: There are good number of mid range hotels in Ukhrul
